Die Dokumentation “Phoolan” von Hossein Fazeli erzählt das Leben von Phoolan Devi (1963-2001) aus dem nordindischen Bundesstaat Madhya Pradesh.

Im Infotext des Trailers (die gesamte Dokumentation ist nicht frei zugänglich) heißt es über die Aktivistin und Politikerin:

“Born in a small village in Northern India, Phoolan Devi, a low caste, illiterate girl with no support network, battled with odds that made her story almost biblical.
