“We collect writings, sound and images for today and tomorrow, against the denial, slander and Gadj\u00e9 appropriation of Rromani history.” This sentence, quoted from the self-conception of RomaniPhen<\/a>, sums up the political claim of the feminist, self-organized Rromani project.<\/p>\n

Texts, analyses, points of view and dialogues, from the past and present, are documented, processed and made available here. The content ranges from pop culture<\/a> to science<\/a> to activism. For example, the group developed a training workshop for teachers, which analyzes existing educational materials and, in addition to analyzing and criticizing racist stereotypes, develops a “criteria grid <\/a>against Gadj\u00e9 racism<\/a>.<\/a> <\/p>\n

RomaniPhen’s work is deliberately about creating and disseminating “new images” of Romnja* and Sintezza* – and about telling “buried stories not told in public.”<\/p>\n
