The first two verses from the poem (&#8220;The first thing you do is to forget that i&#8217;m black. They make us take music appreciation too.<\/p>\n<p>Eat soul food if you like it, but don&#8217;t expect me<br \/>\nto locate your restaurants<br \/>\nor cook it for you.<\/p>\n<p>And if some Black person insults you,<br \/>\nmugs you, rapes your sister, rapes you,<br \/>\nrips your house or is just being an ass-<br \/>\nplease, do not apologize to me<br \/>\nfor wanting to do them bodily harm.<br \/>\nIt makes me wonder if you&#8217;re foolish.<\/p>\n<p>And even if you really believe Blacks are better lovers than<br \/>\nWhites- don&#8217;t tell me. I start thinking of charging stud fees.<\/p>\n<p>In other words- if you really want to be my friend &#8211; don&#8217;t<br \/>\nmake a labor of it. I&#8217;m lazy.
