The comic, jointly produced by the Association for Development Policy of Lower Saxony (VEN) and 123 Comics, aims to raise awareness of topics such as the global world market and the critical use of consumer goods. It represents an attempt to take up the criticism of the “global learning” approach and to present other forms of presentation. Stereotypes are avoided in text and imagery. German society is also presented as a migration society, but class issues are left out. Thus, relatively simple solutions (the purchase of fair trade products) are offered for very complex topics such as world trade, and little attention is paid to the different economic presuppositions of children and young people in the classroom.

The comic is available for download here and can also be ordered as a printed copy.
