As part of the IMAFREDU project, a collective of experts from practice and research has been working on transforming the criticism of existing teaching materials into constructive suggestions. This “Racism Critical Guide for Reflecting on Existing and Creating New Teaching and Learning Content on Blackness, Africa, and the African Diaspora” is the preliminary result. The guide can be referred to for instructional design and materials creation as well as textbook production and curriculum development in breaking down prevailing colonial racist representations. It is intended as a creative stimulus for reflection and further development and is illustrated with examples.
