In the third volume of the border regime series, the authors deal with ongoing migration to Europe as well as with policies of control and regulation in about 20 contributions. The focus is on the struggles of refugees and activists in the summer of 2015 in different places. In addition, solidarity initiatives such as “Alarm Phone”, “Infobus” or “Watch the Med” will be presented. Furthermore, with a focus on different states, new tendencies of European “migration, refugee and border policies” are examined.

The book also addresses the situational willingness of parts of the population to help, the activation of racist knowledge and potentials, and the simultaneous tightening by the state of the conditions of residence for refugees.
