Activists, academics and cultural workers of color as well as human rights organizations have joined forces to form theAlliance Against Racial Profiling. Together, they are fighting institutional racism in the Swiss police corps.
The members of the alliance have drawn up a detailed list of demands . Among other things, they demand:
- Recognize racial profiling as a complex challenge
- legal prohibitions and instruments against discrimination
- Recruitment and development
- proactive basic, further and advanced training
- non-discriminatory deployment practice, control and development
- independent grievance mechanisms
- (Continued) development of measures in dialog
