As part of the IMAFREDU project, a collective of experts from practice and research has been working on transforming the criticism of existing teaching materials into constructive suggestions. This “Racism Critical Guide for Reflecting on Existing and Creating New Teaching and Learning Content on Blackness, Africa, and the African Diaspora” is the preliminary result. Elina Marmer’s research project IMAge of AFRica in EDUcation explores the connection between racism in textbooks and racial discrimination in the classroom.
