Being Black is the blog for the book “Instructions for Being Black” by Anne Chebu. The blog features texts from an Afro-German perspective, videos, and materials related to the book.
Like the book, the blog is primarily aimed at Afro-Germans who want to consciously confront experiences of racism and their identity as Black people.
The website and book are also aimed at all people with or without a migration history who are interested in Black German perspectives.
Attention: As in the book “Anleitung zum Schwarzsein”, being Black is also equated with “dark skin color” in the blog, which does not correspond to the diverse forms and realities of being Black.
