The brochure Bon Voyage! of the Berliner Entwicklungspolitischer Ratschlag (BER) would like to show racism-critical ways in development education and project work.

In development policy projects and organizations, many discussions have been held on the topic of the critique of racism within the last 10 years and the following questions, among others, have been discussed: At what point is the development policy scene now? How do structure-changing processes proceed in organizations? What are the visions for a decolonized development policy?

The brochure Bon Voyage! bundles experiences, analyses and thoughts from different perspectives and positioning on the debate. It invites you to be inspired, but also irritated, to practice self-criticism and to learn from mistakes made.

The booklet is divided into three parts: While the first part takes stock of the debates and starting points of German development policy in recent years, the second part contains concrete field reports. The booklet concludes with reflections and visions of the future: how can volunteers of color become visible in programs? What are the perspectives of African self-organization? What role do LGBT*IQ people play in development policy? How can development policy become superfluous?
