A new brochure from the Austrian Quix – Collective for Critical Educational Work is dedicated to the topics of “Gender, Sexuality and Desire” in educational work. The focus is on educational work in the context of development policy, especially international voluntary services.

According to the makers of Quix, the brochure deals with topics such as language and power, the intersection of sexism and racism, heteronormativity, the experiences of queer seminar participants, privilege, sexualized violence, and critical masculinity.

The contributions in the issue come from people with different perspectives and positions and are written as texts, poems, interviews, comics and illustrations.

The brochure is primarily aimed at trainers, educational institutions, development organizations and volunteer service organizations, but also at participants and former volunteers. (Cf. the description on the website of Quix – Kollektiv für kritische Bildungsarbeit)

The brochure can be ordered from Quix at this address and is available for free download here.
