Native-Land is a resource to help North Americans learn more about (their) local history. The project arose from the concern to make state borders and colonial borders, as they formally apply today, visible as such and to question them as “universally valid”. Native-land serves to record territories, languages, treaties, and First Nations as they existed for a long time in history and remain relevant to many Nations and Native Americans today.

On a map showing the geographic area of North America, users can search for an address, a city, or an area using a function. Territories, languages or treaty arrangements of Native Americans and First Nations are then displayed according to a selection.

The project is a private initiative. The initiator makes no claim to the completeness or accuracy of the information collected and is open to suggestions, criticism and additions.

Native-Land is now also available as an app.
