dummyIn the book, Bino Byansi Byakuleka describes his growing up in Uganda, the permanent surveillance in German residency camps and finally his departure into a protest that powerfully and tirelessly demands freedom and rights for refugees. Lydia Ziemke shows in the second text of the double essay, which is motivated by her artistic collaboration with refugees, that freedom and rights can only result from a comprehensive social and political rethinking.

The volume is available in both English and German. It can also be downloaded in full as a pdf.
